Ingredients:

  • For the Sandwich:
    • 4 slices of whole grain or white bread
    • 1 cup of fresh lettuce leaves (e.g., iceberg, romaine, or butterhead)
    • 1 medium tomato, sliced
    • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
    • 1 small carrot, grated
    • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise or hummus (optional)

Instructions:
