Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cold water or milk
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

STEP 1- Prepare the Strawberries:

  • Wash the strawberries thoroughly under running water.
  • Remove the green leafy tops.
  • Cut the strawberries into halves or quarters for easier blending.

STEP 2- Blend the Ingredients:

  • In a blender, add the cut strawberries, plain yogurt, cold water or milk, and sugar.
  • If you like a hint of spice, add the cardamom powder.
  • Blend the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.

STEP 3- Adjust Consistency:

  • Check the consistency of the lassi. If it is too thick for your liking, you can add a little more cold water or milk and blend again until you reach the desired consistency.

STEP 4- Chill the Lassi:

  • If you want your lassi to be extra cold, you can add a few ice cubes into the blender and blend again.
  • Alternatively, you can chill the lassi in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.

STEP 5- Serve:

  • Pour the strawberry lassi into glasses.
  • Garnish with a fresh mint leaf if desired.
