1. Ingredients

For the Pakoras:

- 8 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)

- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)

- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

- 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 teaspoon red chili powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Step 1- Prepare the Filling:

- In a bowl, mix chopped onions with chaat masala and lemon juice. This adds a tangy and spicy kick to the filling if desired.

Step 2- Prepare the Batter:

- In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, cumin seeds, ajwain, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt, and baking soda (if using).
