Ingredients:
For Thandai Mix:
- 1/2 cup almonds, blanched and peeled
- 1/4 cup cashews
- 1/4 cup pistachios
- 2 tablespoons melon seeds
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 1 tablespoon cardamom powder
- 1 teaspoon saffron strands
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
For Gulab Jamun:
- 200g gulab jamun mix
- Water (as per package instructions for making gulab jamun dough)
- Oil for frying
For Mousse:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon rose water
- Sliced pistachios and almonds for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare Thandai Mix:
- In a blender, combine almonds, cashews, pistachios, melon seeds, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, cardamom powder, saffron strands, milk, and sugar.
- Blend until you get a smooth paste. Set aside.
2. Make Gulab Jamun:
- Prepare gulab jamun dough according to the instructions on the package.
- Divide the dough into small equal-sized balls and shape them into smooth balls.
- Heat oil in medium flame. Fry the gulab jamun balls until they turn golden brown.
- Let them cool.
3. Prepare Mousse:
- whip the heavy cream in mixing bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually fold in the condensed milk and rose water until well combined.
- Gently fold in the prepared thandai mix until evenly incorporated into the cream mixture.
